* Welcome Cocktail

The reception will be held at the prestigious Arras city hall which is located in the heart of the city on the market square in the city centre, easily accessible on foot from the conference centre or hotels.

* Afternoon sightseeing

2 guided tour will be organised during the afternoon of Thursday 28 June (registration mandatory from 1 June 2018):

Tour 1: In the heart of Arras a historical city (on foot)

This circuit will take you to the center of a city forged in history since antiquity. Off an alleyway, the opportunity will be given to you to take height by climbing the 75m of the belfry of Arras, a watchtower of the 15th century in a flamboyant Gothic style, to admire an exceptional panorama on the Artesian region. On the other hand, you will go deep into the earth to immerse yourself in the lives of the soldiers of the First World War in the Wellington quarries, an underground museum created in a section of the many kilometres of tunnels dug by the British army. These tunnels are connected to galleries and quarries dating from the Middle Ages and Roman times.

Tour 2 : A Heritage Région  (by bus)

This second circuit will make you discover the Louvres-Lens museum and its magnificent Time Gallery. In an open space of 3000 m², it exhibits more than 200 masterpieces on loan from the Louvre Museum. According to a chronological presentation ranging from the 4th millennium BC to the middle of the 19th century, it offers an unprecedented journey through the history of art and humanity. Crossing periods, techniques and civilisations, it allows us to contemplate the Louvre's collections in a different way, or even to rediscover them. Then, you can discover the Canadian Memorial located at Vimy, 10 km from Arras. This memorial site is dedicated to the memory of Canadian Forces members killed during the First World War.

* Gala Dinner

The gala dinner will take place in an exceptional place: the gardens of Arcadia.
